Opera is seeking exceptional and experienced User Interface developers to continue our innovation and growth in the desktop market. The desktop version of Opera is developed for Windows, Mac OS X, Linux and UNIX platforms from a common code base. Opera for desktop is translated to many languages and has millions of users around the world.

Responsibilities

• Take initiative and ensure timely delivery.
• Participate and contribute in all parts of the software development life cycle.
• Innovate, design and deliver new features and versions.

Requirements

• Good working knowledge of English
• Strong C++ skills and firm understanding of object oriented programming
• BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent
• Drive and commitment to work in a highly dynamic environment

Ideals (one or more)

• Experience with interaction design/usability work.
• 3 years experience in Windows / Mac OS X / Linux (QT/GTK) programming or equivalent.
• Experience with Product Line Architecture.
• A solid flair for making outstanding user interfaces.
• Experience from developing UI for mass-market software.
